Global Groove is a special collaborative concert bringing together JuBand, the acclaimed youth ensemble from Kazakhstan, and the students of the SOI Music Academy. This vibrant musical encounter unites young artists from two rich traditions in a shared jazz program exploring jazz, blues, and funk through piano, wind instruments, strings, rhythm section and vocals.

For over six years, JuBand has shaped a unique artistic voice, blending jazz, folk, ethnic music, fusion, and funk into original compositions and dynamic arrangements. Inspired by legends such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson, the ensemble creates a modern sound rich in improvisation, energy, and cultural depth. Their young multi-instrumentalists, aged 11–17, demonstrate exceptional virtuosity and musical maturity.

The SOI Music Academy, known for its strong foundation in Western classical music and contemporary performance training, brings depth, versatility, and dynamic colour to this collaboration. Together, these musicians present an uplifting and immersive experience, celebrating jazz as a universal language.
